Avast

This is a beer label I was commissioned to design as a gift from a client to his home-brewing friend. The concept centered around the potential marketing name, with the intention of repeating the half-black-and-white half-color motif on future labels.

I based the pirate on a combination of reference paintings of the real Barbossa and the Disney® live-action villain of the same name. I’m a fan of Geoffrey Rush, but not necessarily of Disney’s lawyers.
